Revathi was called inside the intensive care unit. Her father-in-law, who had been admitted with a stroke, touched her head in a silent blessing.
Her contempt towards him for years of neglect and the sharp words he had used evaporated that moment. The long wait for his love had finally fructified. She took her father-in-law’s hand and gently squeezed it in acknowledgement.
Revathi saw a weak smile line his lips even as she shed tears of joy.

Forgiveness is very important. Maybe the stroke was the trigger, but I hope he recovers and has a better relationship with her too.
