#AtoZChallenge – Letter B – The Blue Tablecloth

Kasturi liked the color blue so much that she was obsessed with it. Everything she had was in a shade of blue. She wouldn’t take any other color.

On a hot summer afternoon, just like that, she wanted to change the tablecloth that adorned the study table in her hostel room. She set out to buy a new one, but the shops she went to did not have any in a blue shade. Kasturi was terribly disappointed.

Later that evening, she just couldn’t look at the tablecloth she had currently and decided to take a stroll to get her mind off the disappointment. As she passed through her friend Shivani’s room, she noticed a blue tablecloth covering the study table (and no, Shivani wasn’t obsessed with the color blue).

Shivani was away and wouldn’t be back until the next week, the kleptomaniac Kasturi’s mind calculated.

The blue tablecloth was snitched in an instant and replaced the next day.

This is my third year of participating in the A-to-Z blogging challenge and like last year, I hope to complete the challenge this year too. This post is written in response to the letter B.

I'm an avid reader and writer. Reading gets me a feeling of understanding the world through different perspectives and writing helps me outline my thoughts from the cobwebs that the mind has trapped it in!
