#366days366posts – Day 49 – Lakshman Rekha

“Lakshman, please go and find out where your brother is. It’s been a long time he has been following that star,” Sita implored.

Ram, Lakshman’s elder brother had gone chasing a star. The star was extremely beautiful and all the three of them were equally enamored by the sight of it from their own makeshift spaceship. When Sita confided that she wanted the star, Ram had gone after it.

Lakshman was also getting worried. But he couldn’t go in pursuit of Ram for fear of aliens harming Sita. Reluctantly, he decided to heed Sita’s words and look for his brother.

“I will go but under one condition,” Lakshman outlined his plan. “We are near the ZK7 black hole now. I’m going to guide this ship to just near the event horizon. Nobody will dare come near you. If anybody does, they will be sucked into the black hole with no escape. Please do not venture out of the spaceship and away from the event horizon.”

When Sita nodded, he took controls of the spaceship and carefully manoeuvred it towards the black hole. After finding a safe spot he stopped. He then put on his space suit and prepared to venture out to find Ram.

“Do not be afraid, sister. No harm will come to you when this event horizon Lakshman Rekha is here. I will be back with brother soon.” Lakshman assured before leaving the spaceship.

Sita sighed and watched Lakshman move away from the spaceship in a whirling motion.
