#366days366posts – Day 42 – Love is Avarice

His love quotes excited her. They felt fresh, unlike the ones she saw in books or on the web. She thought she was the most loved person in the whole of the universe, not just the earth.

Immersed in thoughts, she kept the jewellery boxes in her cupboard and then feeling tired, sagged on to the bed and dozed off.

The sound of the milkman’s bicycle horn woke her up. She saw a note by the bedside table –‘Love is Gold. Gold is Love’.

With a start, she opened the cupboard. Everything had vanished. “Love is avarice,” she muttered deploringly.

I'm an avid reader and writer. Reading gets me a feeling of understanding the world through different perspectives and writing helps me outline my thoughts from the cobwebs that the mind has trapped it in!
