#366days366posts – Day 15 – The Day (and Night)

The night rain falls outdoors;
And the boys are sound asleep.
Morning beams by the window,
To rouse the boys with elation.

Bread, butter, jam and milk later,
Stretch of playtime with the toys;
A bit of squabble in between,
And becoming brothers again.

Square lunch in the afternoon;
And a morsel of chocolate later,
The cycles are primed to mount,
For a waltz around the house.

Evening tea with cookies and cakes;
The eventide sun so alluring!
Out go the boys to make merry,
With booming shouts aplenty.

The dusk approaches in a flash;
It’s time for a fresh scrubbing.
Supper is ready to be devoured;
With a telly cartoon for amity.

Bedtime lads, says the mother;
The boys bundle up the stairs.
Strut they jointly into their room;
At the end of a jolly good day!

The night rain falls outdoors;
And the boys are sound asleep.
Dozing through the rainy night;
To arise the next blessed day!
